The petitioner is in custody in connection with Ujiarpur P.S. Case No. 01 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 30(a) and 37(b)(c) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2018.

In the instant case total 24.015 litres of foreign liquor was seized.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 01.01.2020.

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 01.01.2020, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum- Special

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16892 of 2020(2) dt.09-06-2020 2/2 Judge, Excise Act, Samastipur in connection with Ujiarpur P.S. Case No. 01 of 2020 with the condition that the petitioner on release will render his service as volunteer for a period of one month in dedicated Covid Hospital. He is required to report to the District Nodal Officer in the concerned region, who shall utilize his service in this pandemic.
