Nearly 10 years after his retirement as Assistant Teacher, Primary School Haripur Dih Tole in the District of Madhubani, the present writ application has been filed for a direction upon the respondent, particularly the District Provident Fund Officer, Madhubani to calculate and pay the arrears of provident fund amount for the period 1963-64 to 1976-77. It is stated that for the said period the contribution of the petitioner was deducted and deposited in the post office. Upon retirement the respondents have paid/authorized all retirement dues including the GPF amount but the payment of the subscription made for the period 1963-64 to 1976-1977 has not been included and paid. Mr. Ranjan submits that the petitioner would be entitled

He states that the writ application be disposed of permitting the petitioner to raise a claim in this regard before the District Provident Fund Officer (respondent no.3) who may be commanded to consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ application disposed of permitting the petitioner to file a detailed representation before the respondent no.3 with all relevant papers in his possession. If any such representation is filed within a period of 04 weeks the respondent no.3 shall consider/examine the claim of the petitioner and take a decision in respect of the said claim as quickly as possible preferably within 06 weeks.
