Counsel for the State submits that as per averments made in the counter affidavit, petitioner himself has given application to the Officer-InCharge of Jandaha police station (Vaishali) stating that correction of date of birth is not required.

On that basis report has been submitted by Officer-In-Charge of the police station to the Superintendent of Police, Vaishali. Such statements are made relying on Annexure -A to the counter affidavit which has been filed in the year 2017 after due service upon counsel for the petitioner.

Since none appears on behalf of the petitioner without going into the merits of the said submission writ petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
