The petitioner who is in custody since 10.01.2020 and is a person of clean antecedents seeks bail in connection with Saharghat P. S. Case No. 06 of 2020 dated 09.01.2020 corresponding to G.R. No. 56 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Section 272, 273 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The allegation against the petitioner and another is of carrying 360 litres of liquor.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16548 of 2020(2) dt.13-05-2020 2/2 submitted that the petitioner was only a gratuitous passenger in the vehicle and he was on his way to distribute the marriage card of his own marriage. Considering the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned A.D.J. II, Madhubani in connection with Saharghat P. S. Case No. 06 of 2020.
