The petitioner is in custody since 23.02.2017 in connection Sakra P.S. Case No. 39/17 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 399/400/401/402/414/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 25(1-b)/26/35/25(1-AA)/25(1-AAA) of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he was in custody and thereafter he remanded in connection with several cases. It is further submitted that on the basis of the statement of the co-accused a formal FIR was lodged alleging possession of one live cartridge and one country-made pistol. He therefore submits that he will not abscond or temper with the evidence and will present himself before the Court on all material occasions.
