2. The petitioner has moved the Court against the order dated 17.11.2016 by which he has been placed under suspension.

3. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in the departmental proceeding, the enquiry has progressed quite far and four witnesses have also been examined. He submitted that the petitioner is cooperating in the same. He further submitted that the same may be directed to be concluded expeditiously.

4. Learned counsel for the State does not object.

5. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondent no. 1 to ensure that the departmental proceeding initiated against the petitioner is taken to its logical conclusion within three months from the date of production of a copy of this order before him.

6. It goes without saying that the petitioner shall cooperate in the departmental proceeding and if he does not do so, the authority shall be free to proceed in accordance with law without giving any further indulgence to the petitioner. (Ahsanuddin Amanullah, J) S.Sb/- U
