1. Heard learned Counsel for the parties concerned.

2. The present writ application has been filed for a direction to the respondents to pay the arrears of salary to the

Patna High Court CWJC No.9178 of 2021(12) dt.24-11-2023 2/2 petitioner with effect from 22.01.2020 till date.

3. A supplementary counter affidavit has been filed by the respondent-State, stating therein that arrears of salary for the period January, 2020 to December, 2022 has been paid to petitioner nos. 2 to 5, 7 and 8 and has been transferred to their respective bank accounts.

4. Learned Counsel for the State submits that with regard to payment of arrears of salary of petitioner nos. 1 and 6, the same shall be made within a period of three months from today since they have already retired.

5. In view of the aforesaid submission and the fact that arrears of salary has already been paid to petitioner nos. 2 to 5, 7 and 8, this writ application is disposed with a direction to the respondent no. 4 to ensure payment of arrears of salary to petitioner nos. 1 and 6 within a period of three months from today.
