JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL ORDER 19-08-2017 Following is the relief prayed for in the writ application:- "That this writ petition is for issuance of the respondents authorities for payment of 12.5 % admissible rate of interest from July 1985 to February 1999 and on the revised deduction statement for the year 1985-86 (Oct. 1985) to 1989-90 and 1994-95 as well as statutory interest from the date of retirement to till date of issuance of authority slip as contained in Annexure-1 and 2 to this writ petition."

A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondents-State of Bihar, stating, in paragraph 12, that on perusal of all the documents, it has been found that petitioner's claim was genuine and, therefore, the petitioner's entitlement

Patna High Court CWJC No.16015 of 2016(2) dt.19-08-2017 2/2 has been recalculated with admissible statutory interest at the rate of 12.5 % and authority slip for payment of a sum of Rs. 1,89,072/- has been issued in the name of concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer, by letter no. 223, dated 15.02.2017. It has been specifically stated, in paragraph 13, that all accumulated amount of G.P.F. with up-to-date statutory interest, as per G.P.F. Rules and Regulations have been paid and all grievance of the petitioner have been settled, regarding payment of G.P.F.

Considering the said counter affidavit, in my view, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. This writ application has become infructuous and is disposed of accordingly.
