The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "That this is an application for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus and/or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing and commanding the respondents to make payment of remuneration for the service discharged as NYAY MITRA from 17.12.2007 to 26.2.2011 amounting to Rs. 1,05,000/- in Raj Jalwar Gram Panchayat of Bahadur Block of Darbhanga District same Block of the same district."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
