The petitioner seeks bail in Bidupur P.S. Case No.344 of 2019 registered under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

The police on secret information intercepted a vehicle bearing registration No.KA 03-AP-6323 but two persons who were sitting there managed to flee away. On search, 420 liters liquor was recovered.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not arrested with the vehicle. Petitioner has no manner of concern with the vehicle. Petitioner is not the owner of the vehicle but on account of the fact that the petitioner has got criminal antecedent, petitioner has been implicated in the case and since 12.12.2019, petitioner is in custody.

No.16217 of 2020(2) dt.13-05-2020 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Addl. Sessions Judge II-cum-Excise Court, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Bidupur P.S. Case No.344 of 2019.
