The petitioners seek bail in connection with Ramnagar P.S. Case No.537 of 2023 registered for the offence punishable under sections 341, 323, 354, 354-B and 509/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under sections 4, 6 and 8 of the POCSO Act.

The petitioner and others are accused of teasing the minor daughter of the informant. When she tried to shout, the accused persons took her to a field with ill-motive and when the wife of the informant and local people came, the accused persons fled away.

It has been argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that in this case the charge-sheet has been submitted under sections 341, 323, 354-A & 509/34 of the Indian Penal
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.22579 of 2024(2) dt.04-04-2024 2/2 Code and under section 8 of the POCSO Act.

The petitioner is in custody since 12.12.2023.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail after framing of charge on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, VII-cum- Special Judge (POCSO), Bettiah, District- West Champaran, in connection with Ramnagar P.S. Case No.537 of 2023 subject to the condition that he will cooperate in the trial. (Sandeep Kumar, J) pawan/- U T
