2. The appellant has challenged the order dated 04.01.2024 passed by the learned Special Judge SC/ST (POA) Act, East Champaran at Motihari in connection with Pakariyadayal P.S. Case No. 07 of 2017, instituted for the offences under Sections 302, 326, 307, 458, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code, under Section 27 of the Arms and under Sections 3(2)(v)A of the Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, whereby his prayer for grant of anticipatory bail has been rejected.

Patna High Court CR. APP (SJ) No.1342 of 2024(3) dt.20-07-2024 2/2 Court is not inclined to extend the privilege of regular bail to the petitioner though it has been submitted that case of the petitioner is akin to the case of Ramashankar Singh who has been granted the privilege of regular bail by this Court vide an order dated 12.07.2024 in Cr. Appeal (SJ) No. 708 of 2024 but then this petitioner has criminal antecedent of serious cases. Further the trial has commenced and four witnesses have been examined.
4. The learned Special P. P. opposes the bail application.
5. The bail application is rejected.
