The petitioner is in custody in connection with Rajiv Nagar P.S. Case No.72 of 2016, a case under Sections 385/387/427 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is in custody since 21.04.2016. Allegation is that for non-fulfillment of demand of ransom, the criminal associates of the petitioner damaged the boundary wall of the informant. Though the petitioner has got criminal antecedent of identical nature. However, the statement of the petitioner on oath that trial has not progressed at all. In my view, the petitioner deserves bail.

Considering the period already undergone, let the

No.56457 of 2017 (3) dt.05-02-2018 P2/ petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court-below where the case is pending in connection with the aforesaid case, with condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
