The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under sections 7 and 12 of the Prevention and Corruption Act.
Allegation against the petitioner is of extorting money from vehicles. On search, Rs. 1630/- and mobile phone were recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19249 of 2022(2) dt.28-07-2022 2/2 the petitioner is innocent and he has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner is a constable of Home Guard. The petitioner has clean antecedent as stated at para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is languishing in jail custody since 28.01.2022.
Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.
Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on his furnishing bail-bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance, North Bihar, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Bhagwan Bazar P.S. Case No. 34 of 2022. The application stands allowed.
