The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Bidupur P.S. Case No. 243/2017 dated 09.08.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 8, 20(c)(ii)(B) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act.

The petitioner was found to be in possession of 6kgs of Ganja.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that another person, who was travelling with the petitioner, had Ganja in his possession. The petitioner has wrongly been implicated in this case. It has further been submitted that less than commercial quantity of Ganja is said to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55975 of 2017 (3) dt.09-01-2018 2/2 The petitioner is in custody since 10.08.2017 and he does not bear any criminal antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid facts, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Sessions Judge, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Bidupur P.S. Case No. 243/2017.
