Patna High Court LPA No.1319 of 2016 dt.05-12-2017 =========================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI and HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI) Date: 05-12-2017 Even for the sake of argument, it is accepted that the appellant has a degree of Uttar Madhyama, which is supposed to be equivalent to intermediate degree, since the degree is from Sampurnanad Sanskrit University such degree is if at all recognized under the State of Bihar can be valid for appointment on the post of Sanskrit Teacher alone and not as a general teacher. Any equivalence does not mean that a person acquires knowledge in all the fields and can become a jack of all trades without being master of any.

The equivalence is not supported by any of the notification or material which is available on record. Therefore, this aspect of the matter is left open. However, the Court will not interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge because the post and position on which the appointment was made or is required to be made is not that of a Sanskrit Teacher.

Any such degree obtained from Sampurnanad Sanskrit University, U.P. at Varanasi can only be used for the purposes of appointment as a Sanskrit Teacher and not for other purpose in the State of Bihar.

Patna High Court LPA No.1319 of 2016 dt.05-12-2017 Appeal has no merit. It is dismissed.
