Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 412 of the Indian Penal Code, Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 of the Arms Act and Sections 20, 22, 29 of the NDPS Act.

Allegation against the petitioner is that he was carrying 1 Kg. of Ganja on a motorcycle. However, allegation is that when the police chased, the petitioner fired at the police party. However, the petitioner was apprehended along with Ganja and country made loaded pistol. Petitioner has got criminal antecedent. Petitioner has disclosed that he is accused in nine other cases of serious nature. Petitioner is in custody since 11.06.2017. Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55649 of 2017 (3) dt.04-01-2018 2/2 to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with Parsa P.S. Case No. 98 of 2017 corresponding to NDPS Case No. 11 of 2017 pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Saran. Hence, prayer for bail is refused.

The learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
