BAJANTHRI) 20-06-2024 Re: I.A. No. 01 of 2024 Heard I.A. No. 01 of 2024 arising out of LPA No. 343 of 2019. The present LPA is on behalf of the State. State being mighty litigant, they must aware of filing interlocutory application for condonation of delay if there is delay in filing LPA. Such steps have not been taken for about five years. I.A. No. 01 of 2024 for condonation of delay has been filed after five years. Perusal of cause shown in the application for condonation of delay is bereft of dates and events read with the reasons. There is delay of about 455 days in filing LPA No. 343 of 2019 in other words, it is more than one year.

In the absence of proper explanation/cause shown for condonation of delay, I.A. No. 01 of 2024 for condonation of delay in filing LPA No. 343 of 2019 is not maintainable. Accordingly, I.A. No. 01 of 2024 stands dismissed. Consequently, LPA No. 343 of 2019 stands dismissed. (P. B.
