This is an application for grant of regular bail filed on behalf of the petitioner. Petitioner is in custody in connection with Murar PS Case No. 62 of 2018 for the alleged offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

It is alleged that in the instant case, 17.28 liters of liquor was seized from the possession of the petitioner. Learned counsel representing the petitioner submits that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 04.02.2019 on surrender. He further submits that petitioner had no knowledge about the liquor being allegedly loaded on truck or on motorcycle.

No.17784 of 2019(2) dt.26-03-2019 2/2 Considering the fact that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and keeping in view the period of incarceration undergone by him, this application is allowed. Accordingly, let the petitioner above-named, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Addl. District & Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Buxar in connection with Murar PS Case No. 62 of 2018.
