2. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for offence under Sections 341, 323, 498-A/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3 / 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per prosecution case, the informant was married with this petitioner in the year 2016 and after the marriage, this petitioner alongwith other in-laws members started demanding Rs. 5 lacs and one gold chain, as dowry, and due to nonfulfillment of the same, she was subjected to cruelty and harassment by the accused persons and lastly, in the year 2020, she was ousted from her matrimonial house.

4. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. Petitioner, being

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.20587 of 2024(3) dt.19-04-2024 2/2 husband of informant, never demanded any dowry or committed torture to her, but only with a view to harass the petitioner and his family members, this false and concocted case has been lodged. Petitioner has got clean antecedent and is in custody since 12.10.2023. Chargesheet has been submitted.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State and learned counsel for the informant vehemently opposed the bail petition.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Rohtas at Sasaram in connection with Gr. No. 759 of 2023, arising out of Sasaram Mahila P.S. Case No. 01/2022.
