JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 22-06-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Prayer for bail of this petitioner was earlier rejected by this court vide order dated 15.03.2021 passed in Cr. Misc. No.2886/ 2021.

By order dated 20.04.2022 a report from the trial court about the stage of trial was called for which reveals that case has already been committed to the court of Sessions vide order dated 23.05.2022.

Considering the nature of accusation and progress of the trial, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.

Since the petitioner is in custody since 17.07.2020, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as soon as possible, preferably, within a period of one year from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
