Petitioner is in custody in connection with Ramkrishna Nagar P.S. Case No. 319 of 2018 for the offence under sections 379, 411, 414, 401, 403, 413, 467, 468, 406 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has no criminal antecedent. The name of the petitioner surfaced in the instant case on the confessional statement of coaccused Om Kumar. Learned counsel submits that petitioner is in custody since 20.8.2018.

Considering the fact that petitioner has no criminal antecedent and his name surfaced on the confessional statement
