The petitioner was granted provisional anticipatory bail vide order passed on 11.2.2015 and notice had been issued to the opposite party No.2. Upon appearance of opposite party No.2 this Court vide order passed on 22.4.2015 referred the matter before the Mediation Committee, Civil Court, Samastipur to explore the possibility of settlement. The Mediation Committee at Samastipur has furnished their report vide letter of the District and Sessions Judge, Samastipur dated 4.7.2015 reporting settlement of the matter. Counsel for the parties also support the settlement. In the circumstances discussed, the provisional bail granted
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.36017 of 2014 (5) dt.08-07-2015 2/2 to the petitioner on 11.2.2015 stands confirmed. This application is allowed.
This Court would not hesitate to express its pleasure on the steps taken as well as the efforts put behind by the Mediation Committee, Samastipur in persuading the parties to settlement. This Court would hope and trust that the Court below would also explore the possibility of bringing the criminal proceedings to an amicable settlement.
