2. Heard Mrs. Binita Singh, learned SC 28 appearing on behalf of the State and Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University.

3. Mr. Shailendra Kumar Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University (respondents no. 5 - 7) informs that the selection process, which was initiated in the year 2020 vide Advertisement no.1 of 2020 dated 21.01.2020, has already been completed and the grievance of the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.5992 of 2020(4) dt.16-01-2025 2/2 can not be entertained, in view of the fact that, he has not been able to make out a case that the prescribed age limit in the Advertisement is contrary to the statute in any manner. He further contended that the petitioner has also chosen not to challenge the vires of the provisions, which is reproduced hereinafter:

"4.14 Maximum age limit for recruitment The maximum age limit for entry into the service up to Assistant Professor rank in the University shall be as prescribed by the State Government from time to time. However, there shall be no age limit for appointment on Technical posts such as Deans/Directors/Registrar/University Professor/Associate Professor or equivalent in the University.

There will be no age restriction for employees of the University seeking higher posts under direct recruitment procedures. The upper age limit for recruitment will be as per State Govt. rules."

4. This Court don't find to interfere in any manner with the terms and conditions of the advertisement. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed.
