The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 91 of 2020 instituted for the offences under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

From the prosecution report, it appears that a total 36 litres of liquor was recovered from the boot of the motorcycle which was being driven by the petitioner. It has been urged on behalf of the petitioner that he has been arrested on mistaken identity and on suspicion. The petitioner is stated to be in custody since

Regard being had to the nature of accusation and the period of custody, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-VII-Cum-Special Judge (Excise), Aurangabad in connection with Excise Case No. 91 of 2020. The application stands allowed.
