The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Govindpur P.S. Case No. 139 of 2018 dated 16.07.2018 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

72 litres of liquor was found kept in a vehicle belonging to Anand Kumar, a co-accused. The petitioner was found occupying the same car.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he was a gratuitous passenger and did not know that the liquor was being carried in the aforesaid vehicle.

The petitioner is in custody since 16.07.2018 and does not have any criminal antecedent.

No.54515 of 2018(2) dt.04-09-2018 2/2 Regard being had to the aforesaid facts, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge II-cum-Special Judge, Nawada in connection with Govindpur P.S.
