Patna High Court CWJC No.5341 of 2022(2) dt.29-11-2023 2/3 29-11-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following reliefs:- "1.(i) Issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Certiorari quashing the Memo no.1 dated 01.01.2022 (Annexure-5) issued under the signature of Incharge Officer, District General Section, Banka by which merit list has been published in Adv. no.1/11 for appointment of Home Guards in the district of Banka and also to quash the final result bearing Memo no.182 dated 11/03/2022 (Annexure-7) based on the merit list because the respondents themselves have invited objection on merit list by the candidates but without taking any action on the objections and without informing the candidates/petitioners have published final result regarding the appointment of Home Guards.

(ii) Issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus commanding and directing to the respondents to publish a fresh merit list after disposing the objection/grievances of the candidates who have filed their objection which were invited by the authority. The authority while inviting the objection have mentioned in their notice that the final result will be

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to approach the respondents authorities for redressal of their aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The present writ petition stands disposed of as not pressed.
