The petitioner is in custody since 29.08.2017 in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though he is not named in the First Information Report, his name has surfaced in the confessional statement made before the police by a co-accused which has no evidentiary value. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that there has also been no recovery from his possession and he is having a clean antecedent, let the petitioner above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the
