The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kartahan P.S. Case No. 73 of 2017 dated 06.10.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 30(A), 32(2), 41(1) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

On confidential information that illicit liquor is being carried in two vehicles, one of which belongs to the petitioner, raid was conducted and on search, 47 litres of Indian Made Foreign Liquor was recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

The petitioner is in custody since 21.10.2017. Regard being had to the nature of accusation and the period of custody of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.55564 of 2017 (2) dt.30-11-2017 2/2 grant bail to him.

The petitioner, above named is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Vaishali at Hajipur in connection with Kartahan P.S. Case No. 73 of 2017.
