JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 23-11-2022 Though the present writ petition was filed for directing the District Magistrate, Bettiah, to take a final decision on the application filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, but during the interregnum period, it has been informed by the respondent-State, by referring to the counter affidavit filed in the present case, that the arms license has already been granted to the petitioner by the respondent no.3, vide Memo No. 287 dated 15.12.2021.

At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has been granted arms license,

Patna High Court CWJC No.5847 of 2020(3) dt.23-11-2022 2/2 but the same has been restricted to the district of West Champaran at Bettiah, hence, the petitioner be granted liberty to approach the concerned authority for extending the validity of the aforesaid Arms License to the entire State of Bihar. Liberty so sought is granted.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
