1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) To issue an appropriate writ/order/direction in the nature of certiorary to quash the office order vide Letter no-45 dated 26-062023(contained in annexure-5) issued by

Patna High Court CWJC No.4856 of 2024(2) dt.04-04-2024 2/3 respondent no-7, The Panchayat Secretary, Ahivas, Ramgarh Kaimur( Bhabhua) illegally appointing the private respondent no 12 at the post of Sanitation Supervisor.

(ii) Further to issue an appropriate writ/order/direction in the nature of mandamus to command the respondents to appoint the petitioner at the post of Sanitation Supervisor declaring the appointment of the private respondent 12 at the post of Sanitation Supervisor as illegal and unjustified.

(iii) Respondents concerned be directed to look into the petitioner's grievances regarding his non appointment at the post Sanitation Supervisor.

(iv) The Respondents' act of not appointing the petitioner at the post of Sanitation Supervisor be declared as highly arbitrary, illegal and an act played as a dirty gimmick only to defeat the genuine and legal right of the petitioner.

(v) Erring respondents be sternly dealt with for their misdeed, misdemeanour and defying act done on extraneous consideration."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.4856 of 2024(2) dt.04-04-2024 3/3 seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty so sought is granted.
