In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Goraul P.S. Case No. 333 of 2018, registered for the offence under Sections 304(B), 498(A) and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
Allegation has been made that the petitioner and other family members were demanding Rs.2 lakh and one Apache motorcycle from the informant as dowry. In the event of non-fulfillment of the demand, the daughter of the informant has been killed.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is father-in-law of the deceased and the husband of
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.18339 of 2019(2) dt.27-03-2019 2/2 the deceased is in jail.
Looking to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, namely, Sikindra Paswan, be released on anticipatory bail in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of six weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-I, Vaishali at Hajipur, in connection with Goraul P.S. Case no. 333 of 2018, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
