Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 379, 406, 409, 420, 467, 468, 471 of the Indian Penal Code. It is alleged that petitioner being franchise collected Rs. 87,592/- on behalf of the electricity supply company against which he deposited only Rs. 68,515/- and thereby misappropriated Rs. 19,077/-.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is ready to deposit Rs. 19,077/- before the concerned authority.
