By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the notice dated 08.12.2020, issued by the learned In Charge, District Legal Cell, Madhubani in Supply Confiscation case no. 49 of 2020-21, by which a proceeding under Section 6A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 has been initiated for confiscation of 600 quintals of rice seized from a truck.

We deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present

Patna High Court CWJC No.9090 of 2021(2) dt.23-12-2021 2/2 writ petition with a direction to the petitioner to file a reply to the notice dated 08.12.2020 and also file a petition for release of truck. In case, the petitioner does so within a period of two weeks from today, the District Magistrate, Madhubani shall take a decision within a period of four weeks, thereafter.
