The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Sahebganj P.S. Case No. 141 of 2017 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and 17 U.A.P. Act, 1967.
Allegation against petitioner is of demanding of Rs. 10,00,000/- as a Rangdari from the informant. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioner that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case on the basis of confessional statement made by co-accused Sujit Kumar. Nothing has been recovered from his possession. Other similarly co-accused, namely, Arjun Rai has been granted bail by this Hon'ble Court vide order dated 20.09.2018 passed
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.52089 of 2018(2) dt.28-09-2018 2/2 in Cr. Misc. No. 55176 of 2018. Petitioner is accused in one another case. He is in custody since 01.02.2018. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let above named petitioner be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Muzaffarpur, in connection with Sahebganj P.S. Case No. 141 of 2017.
