JUSTICE AJAY KUMAR TRIPATHI ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 14-08-2015 Death of the employee happened way back on 5.12.2001. Petitioner, the wife, approached the authorities for compassionate appointment. Her claim was rejected way back on 4.9.2006 in terms of Anneuxre-4. Thereafter, she made an application for compassionate appointment of her son, which too has been rejected vide Anneuxre-6 dated 15.7.2014.

2. Whatever be the controversy surrounding such rejection, contained in Anneuxre-4 and Anneuxre-6, this Court is not willing to give any direction in favour of the petitioner since death of the husband of the petitioner, the bread earner, happened more than 14 years ago.

3. Compassionate appointment is not a methodology of granting employment under the State for unemployed family members of the deceased employee. Since the family has survived for 14 years after the death of the bread earner, this Court is not willing to interfere with the impugned orders by giving direction for compassionate appointment of either the petitioner or her siblings.

4. Writ application is dismissed.
