Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

Let the defect(s), if any, be removed within two weeks of the complete start of the physical Court in normal course.

The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Jairampur P.S. Case No. 25 of 2017 for the offence punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-III, Sheikhpura has informed this Court vide his Letter No. 12 dated 03.02.2022 that the trial has progressed considerably. Considering the aforesaid report and serious nature of allegation made against the petitioner, I am not inclined to

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29717 of 2021(6) dt.25-03-2022 2/2 enlarge the petitioner on bail at this stage. Accordingly, the present bail application is rejected. The trial court is directed to conclude the trial expeditiously well within a period of four months not exceeding beyond six months.

If no substantial progress takes place in the trial within the aforesaid period, the petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail.
