The instant application for regular bail has been filed by the petitioner in connection with Nawanagar P.S. Case No. 18 of 2023 instituted for the offence punishable under Sections8/20(b)(ii)(c), 22, 27(a)/29 of N.D.P.S. Act. Earlier the application for regular bail of the petitioner was rejected by order dated 24.08.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 45697 of 2023 with an observation to learned trial court to conclude the trial expeditiously. In pursuance to the direction of this Court, a report, dated 23.03.2024, with regard to present stage of
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.23094 of 2024(3) dt.26-04-2024 2/2 trial has been received and the same is kept at flag 'R'. From its perusal it appears that the trial is likely to be concluded within six months.
No fresh ground is made for reconsideration of the regular bail of the petitioner. Accordingly, prayer for grant of regular bail is rejected.
Accordingly, petition stands disposed off.
However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within stipulated period ie. 6 months., failing which, the petitioner will be at liberty to renew his prayer of bail. (Sunil Kumar Panwar, J) Nirajkrs/- U T
