The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, 105 litres of liquor was recovered from the car in which the petitioner was one of the occupants.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has no concern either with the vehicle in question from which the liquor is said to have been recovered nor with the seized liquor. He is in custody since 14.2.2022 and has no criminal antecedent. It is further submitted that a supplementary affidavit has been filed stating about the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.19026 of 2022(2) dt.10-05-2022 2/2 marriage of the daughter of the petitioner scheduled to take place on 18.5.2022.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the petitioner not having any criminal antecedent and charge sheet having been submitted in the case, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with PR. JAM Case no. 23 of 2022 (SL no. 24 of 2022) on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge Excise II-cumAdditional Sessions Judge-IV, Jamui.
