The petitioner is in custody in connection with Chakand P.S. Case No. 144 of 2017, a case under Sections 419, 420/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It appears that similarly situated co-accused Ranjeet Kumar Mandal has already been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide Cri. Misc. No. 4871 of 2018. Submission is that no counterfeit currency was recovered from possession of the petitioner. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent.

Considering the aforesaid fact, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/-

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.26 of 2018 (3) dt.26-02-2018 2/2 (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court-below where the case is pending in connection with Chakand Police Station Case No. 144 of 2017 with condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
