The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Bolero vehicle bearing Registration No. BR53A 5910 was given by the informant to this petitioner for plying the same on hire. However, it was the petitioner who after theft of the concerned vehicle was the first to inform the owner, the informant that the vehicle in question had been stolen.
