The petitioner apprehends her arrest in Harnaut (Chero) P.S. Case No. 24/2015, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The mother of the deceased Rinki Devi alleged that her daughter was married to Rajnish Ram on 02.01.2015, but her husband and mother-in-law began to demand different articles. On 22.01.2015, she got information that her daughter was burnt to death by sprinkling kerosene oil.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased. No specific allegation

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.32798 of 2015 (3) dt.26-11-2015 2/2 is made against the petitioner. The witnesses in para 18, 19 and 32 of the case-diary disclosed that the petitioner was at Madras and she was not even present in her house.

It is submitted that Puja Devi, Karu Ram and Satish Ram sister-in-law and brothers-in-law respectively of the deceased have already been enlarged on anticipatory bail vide order dt. 04.11.2015 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 32613/2015. The husband of the deceased is in jail.

From perusal of record, it appears that the deceased was burnt to death within three weeks of her marriage. The mother of the deceased made very specific allegation against the husband and mother-in-law of the deceased that immediately after marriage she was subjected to different sorts of torture due to nonfulfillment of demand of additional dowry. Puja Devi, Karu Ram and Satish Ram are brothers-in-law and sister-in-law of the deceased. The petitioner is mother-in-law of the deceased and the deceased died due to burn injury within three weeks. Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner above named on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
