JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 03-06-2020 Heard Mr. Ashok Kumar Jha, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State. The petitioner, who claims to be a person of clean antecedents and is in custody since 03.01.2020, seeks bail in connection with Runnisaidpur P.S. Case No. 3 of 2020, dated 03.01.2020, instituted for the offences under Sections 414/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16715 of 2020(2) dt.03-06-2020 2/3 It appears from the prosecution version that a vehicle was intercepted on suspicion. The petitioner along with others were found to be sitting inside the vehicle. From the possession of one of the passengers, a looted country made pistol was recovered. Nothing appears to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. However, the petitioner is said to have told the police party that they had snatched away the vehicle in which they were travelling and were proceeded to Nepal. There does not appear to be any reported case about the snatching of the vehicle. Merely because the papers of the vehicle demanded by the police party could not be produced by the petitioner and other persons, the instant case has been lodged.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs.
