JUSTICE SANDEEP KUMAR ORAL ORDER 08-04-2022 Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to remove defect(s), as pointed out by the office, if any, within a period of four weeks from today.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Daudpur P.S. Case No. 259 of 2020 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 354(B)/420/509 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is the mother of the main accused and as per materials available on record, it seems that she is not directly involved in the crime.

Considering the fact that petitioner is a lady, her

Accordingly, let the petitioner above named be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M. 1st Class, Saran at Chapra, in connection with Daudpur P.S. Case No. 259 of 2020, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.

The grant of bail should not be taken as if the petitioner was not involved in the crime. It is for the police to find out whether the petitioner is also involved in the crime along with her son.

Pursuant of the order dated 07.04.2022, the Superintendent of Police, Saran has joined the Virtual proceeding.

The Superintendent of Police, Saran has informed this court that the main accused of this case has been arrested and, therefore, there is no impediment in proceeding with the case. The Superintendent of Police, Saran, is directed to take all steps available in law for speedy trial of the case as the reputation of a girl and her father was tarnished by the accused

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.29704 of 2021(5) dt.08-04-2022 3/3 persons of this case and the District Judge, Saran at Chapra, will also take all steps for the speedy trial of the case. With the aforesaid observation and direction, this application is allowed.
