JUSTICE MIHIR KUMAR JHA ORAL ORDER 27-07-2015 Having regard to the fact that Mr. Abhinav Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner, fairly submits that the petitioner has been representing the employer for consideration of his promotion under the statutes for Career Advancement Scheme or under Merit Merit Promotion, he would not like to press this application. He, however, submits that a timeframe should be fixed for consideration of such promotion of the petitioner under statutes for Career Advancement Scheme or under Merit

In the considered opinion of this Court, the prayer of the petitioner for early consideration is a matter which has to be initially examined by the University because it is not the case of the petitioner alone which has to be considered rather everyone who qualifies for Career Advancement and Merit Promotion have to be considered in bulk and no special treatment can be conferred to the petitioner.

That being so, if the petitioner approaches for consideration of his case for Merit Promotion or Career Advancement, the authority of the University shall examine the matter strictly in accordance with law and will take a decision expeditiously strictly in accordance with the age of such pending cases of promotion.

With the aforementioned observation and direction, this application is disposed of.
