Mr. P. K. Shahi, learned senior counsel for the petitioners submits that the institution has already taken steps for constitution of the selection committee in terms of 57(B) of the Bihar Universities Act, which is applicable to the affiliated Colleges. He further submits that the University is required to approve the selection committee constituted in terms of 57(B) of the Bihar Universities Act and once the University approve the selection committee, the institution shall take step for appointment of Teaching and Non-teaching staff in terms of NCTE Regulation.
Mr. Sandeep Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that the University will take appropriate decision on receipt of request for approval of the selection committee at the earliest.
Considering the aforesaid, the Court directs the University to take appropriate decision in accordance with the provision of 57(B) of the Bihar Universities Act at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order so that the appointment process may be completed by the institutions, in question, at the earliest in terms of NCTE Regulation.
