The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Forbesganj (Simraha) P.S. Case No. 188/2017 dated 21.03.2017 instituted for the offences under Sections 304B, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is the husband of the deceased. It has been alleged by the father of the deceased that earlier also an attempt was made to set the deceased on fire, but she survived miraculously. Later, at the instance of the petitioner and others, the deceased again went to her matrimonial home. However, when the informant reached the matrimonial home of the deceased, he did not find his daughter. The dead body of the daughter of the informant was found in a maize field and there was swelling in the

For the aforesaid allegation, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is thus rejected. However, at this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this Court that the trial has commenced. That being so, the trial shall be expedited.
