The petitioner seeks bail in connection with G.O. Case No. 237 of 2018 instituted for the offence under Section 30(a)of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The seizure list reflects that 47 litres of liquor was recovered from a bus when the same was checked at the check post by the Excise authority on 13.07.2018. Some wrappers used for the purpose of packaging the liquor bottles were also recovered. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is the driver of the bus. The excisable items were loaded on the bus by the conductor who managed to run away from the vehicle

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.54478 of 2018(2) dt.04-09-2018 2/2 when it was stopped for being checked.

The petitioner is in custody since 14.07.2018 and does not have any criminal antecedent.

For the facts stated above, the petitioner above named is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-IIcum-Special Judge, Nawada in connection with G.O. Case No. 237 of 2018.
