1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(a) Issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondents to grant 2nd and 3rd A.C.P./M.A.C.P. and to issue pay slip granted of First ACP with effect from 09.08.1999 in the scale Rs. 10,000-Rs. 325- Rs. 15200/- to the husband of the petitioner.

(b) The Respondents be directed to pay the entire arrears of difference of salary and consequential benefits from the dues of his entitlement of A.C.P./ M.A.C.P."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the respondent-
