JUSTICE NANI TAGIA ORAL ORDER 30-07-2025 This contempt application has been filed alleging violation of the order dated 02.04.2019 passed in CWJC No. 6099 of 2019 whereby, the petitioner was directed to file a detailed representation before the respondent No. 3, the Registrar, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga regarding his claims which will be disposed of within a period of three months from the date of filing of such representation. It was further provided that any amount due to the petitioner would be paid within one month thereafter. If certain amounts are admissible, the same shall be communicated to the petitioner by a speaking order sent through registered post.

Though no show-cause has been filed by the University, learned counsel appearing for the University has produced a letter of the Registrar, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga dated 26.04.2023, which is a reasoned order passed by the Registrar of the University determining the entitlement of the petitioner.

3. The aforesaid letter of the Registrar of the University is extracted hereinbelow:-

On perusal of the letter dated 26.04.2023 of the Registrar of the University as extracted hereinabove, I find that the Registrar has passed a reasoned and speaking order determining the entitlement of the petitioner whereupon it appears from the letter that the petitioner's entitlement have been settled and paid in terms of the

4/4 settlement contained therein.

5. In that view of the matter, this contempt petition shall stands closed and disposed off.

6. Since this contempt petition has been disposed off on the basis of the letter dated 26.04.2023 by the Registrar of the University as produced by the learned advocate representing the University without a show-cause being filed by the authorities of the University and also in the absence of the learned advocate of the petitioner, it shall be open for the petitioner to challenge the reasoned order passed by the Registrar of the University dated 26.04.2023 as extracted hereinabove, if the petitioner is further aggrieved by the reasoned order dated 26.04.2023 passed by the Registrar of the University.

7. The contempt petition stands closed and disposed off with the above observation.
